Timber Application for Timber Beams

The Problem:

Our customer needed to print on timber beams at regular intervals so if the beam was cut on-site any off cuts could be identified, they needed to find a reliable solution that would not only give them consistent print quality but would also require minimal operator intervention.

Our aim

1. Get a good quality print at regular intervals every time.

2. Ensure beam was not handled for a minimum of 30min. after production ensuring adhesives used had sufficient time to cure.

3. Easy to use interface that is intuitive.

4. Minimal maintenance.

5. Minimise or eliminate any operator data input required.

The Solution:

Install illumex Database X4-4 head printer on a gantry mount.

1. Consistently good print quality.

2. Eliminating any need for operator data input thus eliminating human error.

3. Operator needs only to select the product they would be manufacturing from the menu and press print.

4. Date and time of manufacture was automatically updated in real time ensuring beam was left to sit for the required amount of time.
